Your anonymity is not just a feature—it's a fundamental promise we make to you.
We will never ask for your real name. Your account is built entirely on your chosen username or handle. That's your identity on this platform.
Your email address and account credentials are stored completely separately from your memoir content. Even our team cannot easily connect the two.
We never sell, share, or trade your personal information with third parties. Your data is yours alone. Period.
All your data—from passwords to memoir content—is encrypted using industry-standard protocols. In transit and at rest.
We don't log your IP address or device information. We don't need to know where you are to let you write your story.
We don't use third-party analytics or tracking pixels. We don't track your behavior on the platform to sell to advertisers.
If you want to share your memoir with family or friends and reveal your identity, that's entirely your choice. We support it, but we never force it.
You own your memoir. You can request a complete copy of all your data at any time, in a portable format.
We use a tiered data structure to ensure your anonymity:
❌ Sell Your Data
Your personal information has no monetary value to us. We will never sell it.
❌ Use Advertisers
We don't have ads and we don't share data with advertisers.
❌ Enforce Identity Verification
We will never require government ID, real name verification, or personal documents.
❌ Store Sensitive Data
We don't collect or store SSNs, dates of birth, or other sensitive identifiers.
❌ Share with Law Enforcement
Without a valid legal order, we will never share your data with authorities.
❌ Use Behavioral Tracking
We don't profile your behavior or build psychological dossiers on you.
If we receive a legal request (subpoena, warrant, etc.) for user information, we will:
However, due to our data separation practices, even if we receive a request, we may not be able to connect your memoir to your real identity.
You can request a complete copy of all your data associated with your account, including your memoirs.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time. This is permanent and irreversible.
You can change your password at any time from your account settings.
You can update the email address associated with your account.
Technically possible only if you explicitly provide your real name or identifying information in your memoir text itself. Our platform design makes it virtually impossible for us to connect your username to your real identity.
We use industry-standard security practices. Your password is hashed and salted. We recommend using a strong, unique password. Enable two-factor authentication when available. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately.
Yes. We use robots.txt and meta tags to prevent search engines from indexing memoir content. Your memoirs are only accessible to logged-in users who can find you through our platform.
You can edit or delete any entry you've written. If you want to delete your entire memoir and account, you can do that too. It's completely within your control.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, data is securely deleted within 30 days. Encrypted backups may exist for up to 90 days but are never linked to your identity.
Anonymity isn't a feature we added—it's the foundation we built on. Your privacy and freedom to write honestly are sacred to us. That's not just our policy. That's our promise.
